We call this page Investment rather than pricing for a reason. It's simple; when you choose to work with Tracy Dietrich Photography you are investing in quality Portrait Art.
On a typical session we will spend about an hour together whether it be in our funky downtown studio in Hampden, MD or at the location of your choice. We'll take a few minutes to "break the ice" and then we'll just chat and get started. It' s a pretty casual and easygoing environment but don't dismay; we are sticklers for good lighting and backgrounds & colors that make you look your best! You may even forget about the camera during our session! Kids are a particular favorite subject as each one is an individual and we love getting them to relax and feel comfortable. We're going to have fun and the result will be natural, beautiful photographs- as you are!
The Studio: We're pretty excited about this place! We searched long and hard to find just the right studio space. The beauty of it is that it's in a cool old factory warehouse with amazing natural light and good ol' hardwood floors. It is in a fun eclectic and revitalized neighborhood that offers fantastic urban settings with the bonus of being on the edge of a gorgeous park! This all equals a setting that truly unique to T.D.P. !
Here's the Scoop your Session Investment:
Sessions for Couples, Children, Maternity, Families:
Studio: $175, approximately one hour
Sessions for Newborns: {If you are having a baby consider our Baby Plan, scroll below, which is our best value for babies!}
Studio: $200, up to 3 hours to allow for breaks & feedings
{In home or Location of your choice: $+50 to Session fee}
What the Session Investment covers:
These sessions are the ultimate in the custom photography experience and include a pre portrait consultation via telephone or in person meeting to discuss your needs and ideas; a what to wear & what to expect guide, an all final images professionally edited and prepared for your review. Your experience will culminate with the REVEAL which is your View & Order Session! Here you'll see your portraits for the first time. At this time I can help you decide how best to display your portrait art at home.
A few Important points:
- Because we devote so much time and care to each family we are often booked 4-6 weeks out. Only four new sessions are available each week, so please give a call today!
- Sessions are available Tuesday-Friday 10:30 am and 1:30 p.m. Please fill out the contact form to get on the schedule. {occasional Saturdays and Evenings are available for an additional $100}
- Unlimited clothing changes – however I have found that less is more especially when children are being photographed
- No prints or digital negatives are included with the any Session Investment
- Archival, matted fine art prints start at $60 with collections starting at $670.
We are proud to offer a 100% guarantee that you will love your portraits. If for some reason you do not we will refund your Session Investment, No questions asked, no hard feelings.

This is one of my favorite parts about what I do, building a relationship with my clients. It is an absolute honor to be a part of your childs first year!
CUSTOM Baby Plan $350 (4 Custom Sessions Less than the price of 2)
This fun plan covers all those amazing milestones your baby will achieve in his or her first year of life. You won’t want to miss out on these!
Choose 4 sessions from the following list (ages given are approximate):
- Maternity - at 34-36 weeks pregnant
- Newborn - preferably under 10 days, sleepy baby
- 6-9 Months - baby is sitting up confidently
- Walking or 1 Year - child is walking, cake smash is always included in this session!

Growing Up Plan

We do offer payment plans. We know the importance of the investment in your child’s portraits and offer an interest free way to buy your portraits now and pay for them over several months.
